Research Areas
Dr. Leifsson's research focuses on computational modeling, optimization, and uncertainty quantification of engineered systems with an emphasis on methods for multifidelity modeling and machine learning. Current application areas include aerodynamic shape optimization, aerodynamic flutter, model-based nondestructive evaluation, microwave devices, and food-energy-water nexus.
