Video Analytics for Understanding Animal Behavior

This team image and video processing to analyze animals in their habitat.

Animals form an integral part of our ecosystem, and automated methods to analyze animals visually can provide valuable information. This team will build systems and software to extract information about animals from images and videos. Imagery will be provided, from livestock (e.g., dairy cows), horticultural insects (e.g., honey bees), and wild animals (e.g., baboons). Goals will be to detect, count, and measure attributes of animals in their habitats.
