Partners - Vertically Integrated Projects - Purdue University

The VIP Program provides opportunities for collaboration between industry partners and Purdue faculty and students. The multidisciplinary and vertically integrated (first-year students through seniors) teams and long-term participation of students allow for multiple benefits for the industry partner, which include opportunities to:

• Engage Purdue faculty and students over multiple semesters on value-added projects 
• Enhance your recruiting efforts, gain access to new talent early in their academic careers, and increase brand recognition 
• Support projects which require Non-Disclosure Agreements and/or assignment of Intellectual Property 

• Allegion
• Allison Transmission
• G3DVu

Industry partners and mentors can be involved as much or as little as you are able:

• Propose a real-world project from industry and provide project context
• Serve as a project reviewer (~monthly)
• Provide mentorship on a project (~weekly)

All VIP industry teams will also be co-instructed by a Purdue lecturer or faculty member.

Project and program sponsorship 

Don't have a specific project, but want to support VIP? You can sponsor a VIP team or the program through annual monetary gifts:

• Team: $5,000
• Program: $10,000

Industry project and program sponsorship benefits

• Recognition on the VIP website and in the annual report
• Targeted emails sent to VIP students publicizing your on-campus events
