The College of Engineering’s Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) program provides students the opportunity to collaborate on teams that are both multidisciplinary and multi-cohort in order to tackle complex projects that span multiple semesters. Through this, students develop both the team science and technical skills needed to create impactful breakthroughs and be effective in the workplace. To this end, students receive training in professional development and are mentored on authentic design and research projects, bolstering their abilities and confidence in addressing complex problems. VIP projects provide students an opportunity to learn different aspects of engineering, communication, business, and project management, and how all are important for success and impact.
