Brandon Pitts, Elliott Sigal Rising Star Associate Professor and Wenzhuo Wu, Professor of Industrial Engineering have been invited to the prestigious 3rd annual symposium, which brings together outstanding scientists from the two continents to share and discuss their work.
The School of Industrial Engineering is proud to welcome outstanding new faculty members, Zaiwei Chen, Congfang Huang and April Savoy, who have joined us this fall, and Liwei Jiang and Miaolan Xie, who will join us in the fall of 2025.
The international Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) recently held its annual international meeting ASPIRE (Advance Systems and Practices through Innovation, Research and Education.)
The project is a collaboration led by Professor Shaoting Lin of Michigan State University, and co-PI's Professor Wei Li of Stony Brook University and Yu She of Purdue's School of Industrial Engineering.
This summer marked the beginning of the PODAS project, as it welcomed its first-ever interns, Eashvar Srinivasan from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Jaewon Choi Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). Their work offers novel insights into the dynamics of of satellites and debris in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) systems.
Robert Dittus (BSIE '73), MD, MPH, is a member of the School of Industrial Engineering Advisory Council. Dittus has been honored with the 2024 David M. Worthen Career Achievement Award by the Department of Veteran's Affairs.
