Dr. Young-Jun Son Delivers Opening Keynote at International Conference of Process Mining
Dr. Young-Jun Son, James J. Solberg Head and Ransburg Professor of Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering, gave the opening keynote speech on “Multi-paradigm, Online, Hierarchical Simulations to Support Process Mining” at the 2024 International Conference of Process Mining (ICPM) held in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Oct. 14-18, 2024.

ICPM is the leading event where process mining vendors, consultants, customers, end-users, and researchers can come together to share insights, foster innovation, and explore new frontiers in the field.
"Process mining intends to analyze event/log data to understand and improve operational processes," Son said. "I enjoyed interacting with leaders, researchers, and practitioners in the process mining community, and I see many collaboration opportunities between the simulation and process mining communities."
