Purdue IISE wins 20th Gold Award

The Purdue University chapter of the Institute for Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) received the national organization’s Gold Award – for the 20th time.

This award recognizes the chapter's excellence in diverse areas such as organization, student support, and community service activities during the 2018-19 academic year. It is the highest honor in IISE's University Chapter Recognition Program. The Purdue chapter has received this award for 20 of the last 21 years.

Student support activities included piloting Six Sigma training, largest-ever IE Career Fair, a CASE competition, planning the annual "Beautify Grissom" painting competition, and hosting many events in the past year.  

The 2018-19 IISE officers this semester are: President – Patrick Stuff, Vice President - Rachel Harmon, Secretary - Ania Szeszko, Treasurer - Owen Crook, Ambassador Director - Grace Dunker, Professional Development Director - Shivane Jetley, Programs Director - Patrick Foster, and Public Relations and Marketing - Michael Salina.

Founded in 1948, IISE is the world's largest professional society dedicated solely to the support of the industrial and systems engineering profession. It is an international, nonprofit association that provides leadership for the application, education, training, research and development of industrial and systems engineering.
