Footprints: Tamara Markey
Tamara Markey (BSIE 1994)
Recognized as the 2019 Indiana Teacher of the Year, Tamara Markey is dedicated to instilling a love for learning inside and outside of her classroom and is motivated by the Giant Leaps of her students.
"Purdue Engineering definitely prepared me for my Giant Leap into Education...I know that one day the students that I teach, many of them will be the inventors and innovators that we need," said Markey (BSIE 1994), an engineering teacher at the McKenzie Center for Innovation and Technology (MCIT) in Lawrence Township, Indianapolis, IN.
