Caldwell speaks at PPRI event on autonomous transportation

Discovery Park’s Purdue Policy Research Institute (PPRI) hosted its final workshop in a connected and autonomous transportation vehicles series on February 7. Four panelists participated in “What IF Self-driving Cars Impact Jobs? CATV Ethics + Policy Workshop: Workforce Impact”, including Barrett Caldwell, professor of industrial engineering.

Jordanian company sponsors 2 Capstones

Last spring, two Purdue IE students traveled to the Middle East to present their IE 431 Capstone (senior) project findings to the executives of a Jordanian company. The executives were so pleased with Purdue IE’s results that their business group sponsored a second Capstone project during the Fall 2018 semester.
