The recently-released 2017 U.S. News & World Report ranks Purdue Industrial Engineering as the #3 IE program in the nation.

Purdue Provost Debasish Dutta congratulated Purdue Engineering for its high rankings. "This is a testament to our great faculty and their good work in the classroom, in the labs and in the broader community and the world," he stated.

"Congratulations to IE...for [its] top five ranking," said Leah H. Jamieson, the John A. Edwardson Dean of the Purdue College of Engineering.

Abhijit Deshmukh, the James J. Solberg Head of the School of Industrial Engineering, praised Purdue IE's faculty and students: "This recognition is all due to your hard work and dedication to our students' success."

The undergraduate rankings are computed from the responses to a survey sent to deans, heads, and selected senior faculty, who rated programs on a scale from 1 (marginal) to 5 (distinguished).
