McComb hosts NSF-funded workshop at Purdue

Science of Organizations workshop
Dr. Sara McComb hosted a National Science Foundation-funded “Science of Organizations” workshop at Purdue on October 1-2.

The purpose of the workshop was to (1) discuss the future of organizational research, (2) identify strategies for encouraging, and rewarding, interdisciplinary collaborative research initiatives in the science of organizations community, and (3) brainstorm how to promote the Science of Organizations program and the results of its projects.  This purpose was met by bringing together 20 scholars who study organizations from a variety of disciplinary perspectives, including industrial engineering, nursing, psychology, communication, information, business, sociology, and public administration. The workshop was held in the School of Industrial Engineering's "reimagined" Grissom Hall.
