IE grad student uses Human Factors for walking therapies

IE PhD student Harsh Wardhan Aggarwal has been working on walking therapy for older adults and people with Parkinson’s disease (PD).

There are multiple therapies available to help improve walking skills and eventually prevent falls, but further research is needed. Aggarwal and researchers from the Purdue Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences are using Human Factors to include realistic training scenarios in walking therapies to help people with progressive neurological diseases like PD to walk better.
