IE alum Bruce Harreld named U of Iowa president
Distinguished IE alumnus Bruce Harreld was named the 21st President of the University of Iowa on Sept. 3.
Harreld (BSIE 1972) was named a Distinguished Engineering Alumnus in the Purdue College of Engineering in 1991, and an Outstanding Industrial Engineer in 1997.
“[It’s] a truly proud moment for all of us in the Purdue IE family,” says James J. Solberg Head and Professor of the Purdue School of Industrial Engineering Abhijit Deshmukh.
