Dr. Groll receives 2026 Focus Award
William E. and Florence E. Perry Head of Mechanical Engineering, and Reilly Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Eckhard Groll, received a Focus Award for outstanding contribution to the furthering of Purdue University’s commitment to disability accessibility.
Dr. Groll led the charge to renovate the 100-year-old Mechanical Engineering Building with new elevators, restrooms, ramps, and 100% accessibility!
The Focus Awards are presented annually to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding efforts of members of the Purdue community who advance the university’s commitment to disability accessibility.
This year, the Office for Civil Rights honored several individuals and an organization with Focus Awards for their contributions to raising awareness and advancing equal access to education, employment and recreation for individuals with disabilities.
