MDE Concentrations

The Multidicipinary Engineering (MDE) program, which is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, offers nine (9) focused concentrations.

  • You must complete the requirements of Purdue's First-Year Engineering Program before being admitted into the MDE program.
  • Upon entry, you will determine which academic pathway best suits your educational and career objectives.
  • You will be allowed to take courses outside the College of Engineering.
  • Upon completing all degree requirements (dependent upon your chosen pathway), you will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) degree.
  • With strong academic performance, you may progress to graduate school or choose to pursue a career in industry or other sectors of the global economy.
