Davidson School of Chemical Engineering faculty Dr. Rakesh Agrawal and Dr. Nancy Ho were honored at the Purdue Engineering Patents and National Medals of Science and Technology Wall unveil event on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

A Purdue University research team led by Davidson School of Chemical Engineering Professor Jeffrey Miller has come up with a series of patented solutions to address challenges in United States energy production. The team developed a two-step process to convert shale natural gas to liquid fuels such as gasoline and diesel, which may help to drive down production costs.

Dr. Rajamani Gounder, the Larry and Virginia Faith Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, will receive the 2019 College of Engineering Faculty Excellence Award for Early Career Research. The award will be presented at the 17th Annual Faculty Excellence Awards Banquet at the Ross-Ade Pavilion Shively Club on Friday, April 5, 2019.

Davidson School of Chemical Engineering Professor Vilas Pol has been selected to receive The American Ceramic Society's Richard M. Fulrath Award - American Academic. The award will be presented at the Honors and Awards Banquet at the American Ceramic Society (ACerS) 121st Annual Meeting on September 30, 2019 in Portland, Oregon.

Chemical Engineering Director of Industrial Education Dr. Gabriela Nagy was presented the 2019 Presidential Safety Award for her endless efforts to promote safety awareness and practices in Forney Hall and the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering. Dr. Nagy received the award during the Purdue University Annual Safety Chair Meeting on March 20.
