ChE alumnus Terry Papoutsakis (MSChE '77, PhD '80) elected to NAE

Purdue Chemical Engineering alumnus Eleftherios (Terry) Papoutsakis (MSChE '77, PhD '80) has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) for his "contributions to metabolic engineering, especially the industrial biotechnology of Clostridia, and to biomanufacturing of therapeutic proteins."

Three ChE graduates receive 2018 Distinguished Engineering Alumni award

Arindam Bose (PhD '80), Peter Kraemer (BSChE '88), and Kimberly Underhill (BSChE '87) were among a group of thirteen honored on Thursday, February 22, as 2018 Distinguished Engineering Alumni. The award is presented annually to Engineering graduates who have distinguished themselves in any field in ways that reflect favorably on Purdue University, the engineering profession, and society in general.

ChE Professor Rajamani Gounder named 2018 Sloan Research Fellow

Purdue Engineering professor Raj Gounder has made history as the first Purdue Chemical Engineering faculty member to receive an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship. Gounder was one of 126 researchers in the United States and Canada selected for the fellowship. The distinction is given to early-career scholars who are recognized by the Sloan Foundation as the next generation of scientific leaders.

ChE Spring 2018 Graduate Seminars Announced

Purdue Davidson School of Chemical Engineering has announced its schedule of Spring 2018 Graduate Seminars, featuring a slate of outstanding speakers well-known in their respective fields. All seminars are free and open to the public, and will held in the Forney Hall of Chemical Engineering.
