ChE undergrads to receive national-level AIChE awards

Two Davidson School of Chemical Engineering undergraduate students will receive national-level American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) awards. Lindsey Blanshan and Katerina Laios are set to be recognized for scholastic achievement and freshman recognition at the AIChE Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota in October.

Two Davidson School of Chemical Engineering undergraduate students will receive national-level American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) awards. Lindsey Blanshan and Katerina Laios are set to be recognized for scholastic achievement and freshman recognition at the AIChE Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota in October.

Lindsey Blanshan (left) will receive the 2017 Donald F. Othmer Sophomore Academic Excellence Award. The Sophomore Academic Excellence Award is presented to an AIChE student member who has attained the highest scholastic grade-point average during his/her freshman and sophomore years. Sponsored by the AIChE ScaleUp Sponsors, the Award includes a Certificate of Recognition, free registration to the upcoming Annual Student Conference, and a travel allowance.

Katerina Laios (right) will receive the 2017 Freshman Recognition Award. The Freshman Recognition Award is presented to one AIChE student member in each student chapter who has been the most active in their student chapter during his or her freshman year, on recommendation of the Student Chapter Advisor.
