ChE undergraduate student joins NSF-funded international research team in Denmark

Davidson School of Chemical Engineering undergraduate student Jacob Crislip is working with an NSF-funded international research team focused on meeting the global challenges of health research.

Crislip, along with student researchers from three other universities, is spending eight weeks in the Department of Molecular Biology at Aarhus University in Denmark. The research team is part of the International Research Experience for Students (IRES) program.

Dr. Rakesh Agrawal invited to present Danckwerts Lecture at 10th World Congress of Chemical Engineering

Dr. Rakesh Agrawal, the Winthrop E. Stone Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering, has been invited to present the 2017 Danckwerts Lecture at the 10th World Congress of Chemical Engineering in October. Dr. Agrawal was selected through the nomination and arduous review process conducted by the Danckwerts Lecture Selection Committee. Only one lecturer is chosen to present each year.

Dr. Linda Wang receives Gold Award from Purdue Foundry

Dr. Linda Wang, the Maxine Spencer Nichols Professor of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, received the Gold Award from Purdue Foundry for her recent presentation, "Rare Metals and Elements from Coal Ash in the Rare Metal Age." The talk was part of the Purdue Foundry 2017 Entrepreneur Leadership Academy.

Professor Jeffrey Greeley, research team publish paper in Nature Energy

Davidson School of Chemical Engineering Professor Jeffrey Greeley and his research team at Purdue University have recently published a paper in the journal Nature Energy. The paper, "Stabilization of Ultrathin (Hydroxy)oxide Films on Transition Metal Substrates for Electrochemical Energy Conversion," focuses on Greeley's research of atomic-level features of ultrathin (hydroxy)oxide films on metal substrates and demonstrates that these films exhibit both excellent stability and activity for electrocatalytic applications.
