Dr. Rakesh Agrawal invited to present Danckwerts Lecture at 10th World Congress of Chemical Engineering

Dr. Rakesh Agrawal, the Winthrop E. Stone Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering, has been invited to present the 2017 Danckwerts Lecture at the 10th World Congress of Chemical Engineering in October. Dr. Agrawal was selected through the nomination and arduous review process conducted by the Danckwerts Lecture Selection Committee. Only one lecturer is chosen to present each year.

Dr. Rakesh Agrawal, the Winthrop E. Stone Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering, has been invited to present the 2017 Danckwerts Lecture at the 10th World Congress of Chemical Engineering in October.

Dr. Agrawal was selected through the nomination and arduous review process conducted by the Danckwerts Lecture Selection Committee. Only one lecturer is chosen to present each year. The Selection Committee includes the presidents of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE), as well as the Cambridge Shell Professor of Chemical Engineering, and is chaired by the Editor-in-Chief of Chemical Engineering Science.

The 10th World Congress of Chemical Engineering will be held October 1-5 in Barcelona, Spain. The invitation to present includes a travel sponsorship supported by the publisher of Chemical Engineering Science, Elsevier.

The P.V. Danckwerts Lecture was established in 1985 in honor of Professor Peter V. Danckwerts, who was a leading scholar in the field of chemical engineering and the second Cambridge Shell Professor of Chemical Engineering. The Lecture is co-sponsored by Elsevier, AIChE, IChemE, and EFCE.
