Dr. Rajamani Gounder, the Larry and Virginia Faith Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering, is co-leader of a research team from Purdue University and University of Notre featured in Science journal. The team has discovered a new reaction mechanism that could be used to improve catalyst designs for pollution control systems to further reduce emissions of smog-causing nitrogen oxides in diesel exhaust.
Two Davidson School of Chemical Engineering undergraduate students will receive national-level American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) awards. Lindsey Blanshan and Katerina Laios are set to be recognized for scholastic achievement and freshman recognition at the AIChE Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota in October.
Three Davidson School of Chemical Engineering staff members have received Purdue University Bravo Awards for 2016-2017. Through a nomination and review process, Maria Garcia, Beverly Johnson, and Jill Vigar were honored for their "extraordinary performance which produces a measurable outcome."
