Nagy Named Purdue University Faculty Scholar

Zoltan Nagy, Professor of Chemical Engineering, has been named a Purdue University Faculty Scholar for 2015-2020. This University-wide honor is given to select mid-career faculty who are on an accelerated path for academic distinction.

Zoltan Nagy, Professor of Chemical Engineering, has been named a Purdue University Faculty Scholar for a period of five years, effective Fall 2015. This University-wide honor is given to select mid-career faculty who are on an accelerated path for academic distinction. The award provides $10,000 per year in supplies and expenses for the support of his research and academic programs.

Professor Nagy joined the School of Chemical Engr in 2012. He has a PhD and B.S. from Babes-Bolyai University in Romania, BS and his research is characterized by the development and application of process systems engineering approaches and tools for engineered product design and optimal process operation, with applications in pharmaceutical, fine chemical, biotechnology, food and agrochemical industries.

Previous Chemical Engineering faculty members who have received this award include Steve Beaudoin, David Corti, Mike Harris, Joe Pekny, Fabio Ribeiro, and Ken Thomson.
