John Klier (MSChE ‘86, PhD ’89) Elected to the National Academy of Engineering

School of Chemical Engineering alumnus John Klier has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering.

John Klier (MSChE ‘86, PhD ’89) has been elected the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). Klier is a distinguished fellow and global research and development director of polyurethanes and automotive systems at Dow Chemical Co. of Midland, Mich. He was recognized for his contributions to novel coatings, polymer dispersions and low volatile organic compounds technologies.

Klier joined Dow R&D in 1989 and was named a distinguished fellow in 2013. He has 74 patents and publications.
