BP Promotes Alumnus Ron Unnerstall
Ron Unnerstall (BSChE ’83) was promoted to BP Group Head of Engineering. He will continue his responsibilities as Vice President for Refining and Logistics Technology.

The School of Chemical Engineering congratulates alumnus Ron Unnerstall (BSChE ’83) on his recent promotion.
On March 17, BP appointed Unnerstall as the Group Head of Engineering in addition to his role as Vice President for Refining and Logistics Technology (R<). He will continue to be based in Naperville, Illinois.
Unnerstall received his BSChE degree from Purdue with highest distinction in 1983. He has more than 30 years of experience in the petroleum industry with a particular focus on the manufacturing and marketing of petroleum products. He received the Outstanding Chemical Engineer Award from the School in 2013.
