Professors Agrawal and Ramkrishna elected Foreign Fellows of the Indian National Academy of Engineering

Rakesh Agrawal, the Winthrop E. Stone Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering, and Doraiswami Ramkrishna, the Harry Creighton Peffer Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering, have been elected as Foreign Fellows of the Indian National Academy of Engineering.

Rakesh Agrawal, the Winthrop E. Stone Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering, and Doraiswami Ramkrishna, the Harry Creighton Peffer Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering, have been elected as Foreign Fellows of the Indian National Academy of Engineering.

The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) established in 1987, is a peer body of distinguished engineers and technologists. The Academy covers the entire engineering profession and aims at the promotion and advancement of the practice of engineering and technology, related sciences and disciplines and their applications to problems of national importance. The Academy is also a Member of the International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS).

The Academy confers Fellowship on Indian and Foreign nationals who are in positions of high responsibility and have demonstrated their eminence by virtue of outstanding accomplishments in new and developing engineering fields.

Professors Agrawal and Ramkrishna are both members of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering.
