Professor Venkat Venkatasubramanian’s work on mathematics of statistical thermodynamics and information theory has led him to find a new application described in his paper "What is Fair Pay for Executives? An Information Theoretic Analysis of Wage Distributions," published in Entropy in November 2009. His work and this paper have been highlighted in a recent Journal & Courier article.
