Jeff Valley, Forney Hall's maintenance mechanic and building deputy, was honored with Purdue's "One Brick Higher" award for his work and efforts during the construction of the completed $20 million addition and the ongoing $12.75 million renovation to Forney Hall of Chemical Engineering. He has kept life as normal as possible for the more than 200 faculty, staff, and graduate students, in addition to hundreds of undergraduates, during this major construction project. His dedication and outstanding work were recognized and rewarded by President Jischke's One Brick Higher Award on November 16, 2006 during the President's Forum.
