2006 AIChE awards recognize Purdue Chemical Engineering excellence
Faculty and Alumni, present and past, honored for their excellence
Rakesh Agrawal, the Winthrop E. Stone Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering, received the 2006 Chemical Engineering Practice Award. This award recognizes outstanding chemical engineering contributions in the industrial practice of the profession.
Christopher Bowman (PhD 1990) is the 2006 recipient of the R. H. Wilhelm Award. This award recognizes an individual's significant and new contributions in chemical reaction engineering. Prof. Bowman is the department chair and Mel and Virginia Clark Professor at the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Colorado.
Nicholas Peppas received the 2006 William H. Walker Award for Excellence in contributions to chemical engineering literature. Prof. Peppas holds the Fletcher Stuckey Pratt Chair in Engineering at the University of Texas in the departments of Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.
