This award is presented annually to those student chapters that show an exceptional level of participation, enthusiasm, program quality, professionalism, and involvement in the university and community.

The Purdue University AIChE chapter has won this award for 8 consecutive years (since the 2015-2016 school year).

2023-2024 Astronaut Scholar

This scholarship is awarded to students in their junior and senior year of college studying science, technology, engineering, or mathematics with the intent to pursue research or advance their field upon completion of their final degree. Astronaut Scholars are among the best and brightest minds in STEM who show initiative, creativity, and excellence in their chosen field.

2023-2024 Churchill Scholar

This scholarship supports 14 American students each year who excel in engineering, mathematics, or the sciences, and who wish to pursue advanced independent research at the University of Cambridge while residing in Churchill College.

 Since the program’s launch more than 60 years ago, 14 Purdue students have been named Churchill Scholars, four of whom were named in only the last eight years.

TRAvel for CollaborativE Research (TRACER) Grant

The TRAvel for CollaborativE Research (TRACER) grant, offered through the College of Engineering, has two objectives: to assist doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows who are strongly motivated and well prepared to secure faculty positions at top universities, and also to facilitate collaborations between College faculty and other top research groups and engineering colleges and universities.

Yufei Zhao will use the TRACER funds for a collaboration at Carnegie Mellon University from February-September 2024.
