Michigan Technological University - Visiting Professor in Environmental Engineering

The Michigan Technological University Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) invites applications for a visiting Professor at any rank for one or two semesters in the 2020-2021 academic year. Potential benefits of this position include the opportunity to interact with Michigan Tech faculty, a pool of highly motivated undergrads to recruit to graduate school, pay for courses taught, and a beautiful location for a sabbatical or temporary stay. Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in Civil or Environmental Engineering, possess enthusiasm for teaching, and the ability to teach a senior-level course in drinking water treatment.

Michigan Tech is a medium-sized (7,000 students) institution located in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula, eight hours drive north of Chicago. Michigan Tech places a strong emphasis on undergraduate teaching and also has a vibrant graduate degree program in Environmental Engineering. Application materials should demonstrate the applicant’s ability to teach a course in drinking water treatment (spring 2021 term); if desired, additional opportunities to teach in the fall 2020 semester can be discussed.
