CE faculty paper wins K.B. Woods Award

A paper authored by CE faculty including Hubo Cai, Dulcy Abraham, and Mark Bowman has been named the winner of the K.B Woods Award. This award is given annually by the Transportation Research Board for an outstanding paper published in the field of design and construction of transportation facilities.

A paper authored by CE faculty including Hubo Cai, Dulcy Abraham, and Mark Bowman has been named the winner of the K.B Woods Award. The title of the paper is, "Ontology-Based Knowledge Management System for Digital Highway Construction Inspection." Purdue researchers Xin Xu, Chenxi Yuan, and Yuxi Zhang also contributed to the paper.

The K.B. Woods Award is given annually by the Transportation Research Board for an outstanding paper published in the field of design and construction of transportation facilities. It honors the 19th chairman of the Highway Research Board, who was Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering at Purdue University and active in the affairs of the Board throughout his career.
