Satish Ukkusuri, Hubert and Audrey Kleasen Professor in Civil Engineering, has been elevated to the grade of IEEE Senior Member. IEEE Senior Membership is an honor bestowed only to those who have made significant contributions to the profession.

His research is in the areas of transportation networks, with current interests in data-driven mobility solutions, disaster management, resilience of interdependent networks, connected and autonomous traffic systems, shared mobility platforms, and smart logistics.

Professor Ukkusuri has published more than 360 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles and serves as editor in chief of the Journal of Big Data Analytics in Transportation (Springer). The founding co-editor in chief of the ACM Journal of Autonomous Transportation, Ukkusuri is an active member of several national and international committees at the Transportation Research Board of the U.S. National Academies, ASCE and IEEE.
