The Edward M. Curtis Visiting Professorship in Civil Engineering

The Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering at Purdue University is pleased to announce the availability of the Edward M. Curtis Visiting Professorship in Civil Engineering. This endowed visiting professorship was established to attract internationally renowned visitors to spend an academic year with the faculty and students of the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering at Purdue University.  The visiting professorship provides funding to support the awardee during the stay.

The Edward M. Curtis Visiting Professorship in Civil Engineering is available annually. For the forthcoming 2025-2026 academic year, the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering seeks candidates that will support one of the School’s specialty areas (see http://engineering.purdue.edu/CCE/Academics/Groups) and contribute to one or more of the teaching, mentoring, research and service activities of the School.

Interested applicants must first contact a faculty member in Purdue's School of Civil and Construction Engineering who would be willing to serve as a host during their stay (see http://engineering.purdue.edu/CCE/People/Faculty). Once a host faculty member is identified, application materials consisting of a statement of qualifications, a description of proposed objectives during the time at Purdue, along with a complete curriculum vitae should be sent to the host faculty member by December 2, 2024. The complete package including the host's letter is due no later than December 6, 2024 to Whitney Freeland (wfreelan@purdue.edu). Candidate selection will be made by February 2025.
