Soybean and Corn Innovation Contest
Soy Contest to Award $25,000! Corn Contest to Award $6,000! The Indiana Soybean Alliance is sponsoring a contest for Purdue students that will award the winners $25,000 for 1st place, $10,000 for second tier teams and $5,000 for third tier teams.
Teams who complete the soybean contest but do not place will earn an honorable mention award of $2,000.
New this year is an additional contest sponsored by the Indiana Corn Board, which will have one overall winning team that will earn $6,000.
Both competitions encourage students to invent new, environmentally-friendly products from corn and soybeans. A call-out and team formation meeting will be held on September 18th at 6:00 pm in the Food Science Building, Room #1215. Those who sign up ahead of time will receive free dinner from Jimmy Johns.
