Dr. Michael Ladisch Named One of the One Hundred Engineers of the Modern Era by AIChE

West Lafayette, IN – June 2, 2008 – Dr. Michael Ladisch, Distinguished Professor in the Agricultural and Biological Engineering department and Director of Purdue’s Laboratory of Renewable Resources Engineering (LORRE) was recently named one of the “One Hundred Engineers of the Modern Era” by The American Institute of Chemical Engineer (AIChE).

New technique quickly detects cancer indicator

Researchers have developed a new way to detect protein movements inside cells, which signal a variety of cellular changes such as those in cancer cell development. The method could help diagnose cancer in the future.
