A Purdue University researcher has found a way to predict the nutrient content in distillers dried grains with solubles, making the ethanol byproduct more marketable as a feedstock.

The annual Agricultural & Biological Engineering (ABE) Welcome Back Picnic was once again a huge success. Over 300 ABE undergraduate and graduate students joined the ABE faculty and staff for a wonderful "Welcome Back" event on September 10th.

Professor John Lumkes traveled with ABE students; Austin Bello, Craig Blough, John Gibson, and Jacob Oswalt, from May 17 through the 26 to Bangang, Cameroon.

William E. Field, professor and extension safety specialist, agricultural and biological engineering department, Purdue University, was recently honored and recognized for his outstanding accomplishments as a national leader of agricultural safety and health promotion through engineering and education.

Some farm fields aren't just for growing crops and providing pasture anymore. Increasingly, they're producing electricity, said Chad Martin, Purdue University Extension renewable energy specialist.
