·         Food Process Technologist/Engineer

Duration
·         6-12 Month
 
Qualifications
·         Minimum of 3.0 GPA (Major), Minimum of 2.7 (Cumulative)
·         Pursuing M.S. or B.S. degree appropriate to position (i.e. Food Science, Nutrition, Agricultural Engineering, Sensory Science, Chemical or Food Engineering, Chemistry)
 
Salary
·         Competitive salary commensurate with education level and experience
·         Housing stipend and moving expenses compensation
 
Internship Accountabilities:
 
Product Development Scientist
·         Assignment of an independent research project
·         General support for product developers and their current projects
·         Activities can range from bench-top to plant production
 
Quality Assurance
·         Complete overflow project work for major R&T initiative
·         Support Product Development in documenting product image and defect standards
·         General support on Operating manual work and other areas as needed
 
Sensory Scientist
·         Assist with design and execution of descriptive analysis, discrimination, shelf life and/or consumer guidance testing
·         Document and report test findings and testing procedures
·         Provide liaison support to Product Development under mentorship of sensory scientist
 
Food Processing Technologist / Engineer
·         Plant and pilot plant process development
·         Generation of test plans for plant work
·         General support of food technologists and product development
 
Food Chemist
·         Assignment of an independent research project
·         Support Product Development by assessing process variation and assuring that products meet specification
·         Work with Chemist to resolve business related issues
