About Us
Welcome from the Head
Graduate students are a valuable part of the ABE department. Nate Mosier, our department head, also leads the New Graduate Student Seminar Course each semester.
Research areas in Agricultural and Biological Engineering
ABE has a wide range of research areas which contribute to our top national ranking. We pursue global and local solutions.
Cutting Edge Facilities
The new Agricultural and Biological Engineering building, dedicated in 2021 provides cutting edge research facilities as well as ample space for interactions. Take a virtual tour, which includes 360-degree views of each floor, and videos produced by undergraduate student ambassadors.
ABE Graduate Student Association
Graduate students in Agricultural and Biological Engineering not only learn but also lead. The ABE Graduate Student Association strives to develop a community between graduate students in ABE by organizing social and professional activities. All ABE graduate students are automatic members of the ABE GSA and are encouraged to participate in the organized events. Activities include a student-led research symposium each year that provides an opportunity to showcase student research and interact with alumni in industry who attend to keep up with current research.
Graduate Student Ambassadors
Have a question you would like to ask of a current ABE graduate student? Please feel free to reach out to one of our ambassadors. They are happy to help answer any questions you have about admissions, the ABE department, and the University.
