A perfect advisor pairing produced a "really cool" research opportunity for graduate student Aaron Blacker, one of three AAE students selected as "Tomorrow's Leaders: The 20 Twenties" by Aviation Week Network, in collaboration with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

Startup places third at Burton D. Morgan Business Model Competition

A startup led by AAE students won $8,500 at the annual Burton D. Morgan Business Model Competition. FlykeArt placed third in the business-to-business competition ($7,500) and also won a $1,000 award for having the most diverse team based on gender, ethnicity and school major.

Two AAE alumni honored as Distinguished Engineering Alumni

Timothy Cahill and Kenneth Sanger were among seven recognized at Feb. 21 event. The Distinguished Engineering Alumni/Alumnae Award is presented to men and women who have distinguished themselves in any field in ways that reflect favorably on Purdue University, the engineering profession, or society in general.
