Thirteen astronauts who have flown with NASA and one commercial astronaut are expected at the reunion on Oct. 10-12 where they will speak to Purdue classes, visit local schools and tour campus.
Purdue University announced a $40 million Lilly Endowment grant to Purdue Research Foundation to help create Purdue’s Engineering and Polytechnic Gateway Complex.
The multi-university capstone project had a kickoff meeting on Aug. 29-30 in Atlanta. Nine teams have been formed from nine participating universities.
Kathleen Howell, the Hsu Lo Distinguished Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and David Spencer, an associate professor in AAE, participated in a“Partnering Advances in Aerospace” panel that Dean Mung Chiang moderated.
