Voss, who died Feb. 6 in Arizona of complications from cancer. * On Feb. 24, her family will greet friends and colleagues and celebrate her life from 3-4 p.m. in the Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering's Kurz Atrium. Purdue University alumnus Janice E. Voss, 55, one of the few women launched into space, died of breast cancer Monday (Feb. 6) in Scottsdale, Ariz., where she was receiving treatment. She had logged five space flights, spending a total of 49 days in space and traveling 18.8 million miles in 779 Earth orbits.

Lieutenant General Patrick J. O'Reilly, Director, Missile Defense Agency, will present "Creating Transformational Military Technology" as the keynote speaker of the tenth William E. Boeing Distinguished Lecture.
