Purdue team triumphs in U.S. Department of Justice challenge

A team from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics has won the U.S. Department of Justice's first public competition challenge with its proposed concept for testing the viability of in-service body armor. Prof. James Longuski interviewed by National Geographic

National Geographic published an interview with Prof. James Longuski and Doctoral Candidate Frank Laipert on November 18, 2013. This interview was noticed and made the rounds of the National Academies Committee on Human Space Flight, of which Purdue president is co-chair. President Daniels followed up with a letter of congratulations to Prof. Longuski.

Two AAE Professors inducted into Purdue's Book of Great Teachers

Professors Bill Crossley and Stephen Heister were among sixty-eight professors who were honored on December 2 when they were inducted into the Book of Great Teachers, which honors outstanding teaching faculty who have demonstrated sustained excellence in the classroom.
