Four AAE students receive prestigious Brooke Owens Fellowship
Purdue AAE's own Olivia Descipio, Lucia Morton, Simone Moulton, and Tanya Vijay are part of the tenth class of "Brookies" — recipients of the highly selective Brooke Owens Fellowship.
Brooke Owens Fellows receive a suite of opportunities and benefits thanks to the organization's connections in the industry. Fellows are given valuable internships with major aerospace organizations, are also each paired with a high-level mentor, and have opportunities to network with current and former Brookies. Olivia Descipio is a sophomore pursuing a BS in AAE. She has held several leadership roles during her time at Purdue, including serving as the Campus Relations Committee Head for the Purdue Engineering Student Council and the Co-Outreach Coordinator for Purdue Space Day.

Lucia Morton is a sophomore who, in addition to a BS in AAE, is pursuing a BA in Political Science. She holds an internship with the Structural and Thermal-Fluids Engineering group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, as well as a research internship at Lawrence Livermore National Lab.

Simone Moulton is a senior pursuing minors in Plant Biology and Chemistry on top of her BS in AAE. She is a Pathways Intern at NASA, a Purdue Discovery Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Research Intern, and a private pilot. She is passionate about getting grade school students excited about aerospace.

Tanya Vijay is a sophomore pursuing a BS in AAE with a minor in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. She is the Project Manager for Purdue Space Program’s High Altitude team, and works as a researcher at Zucrow Laboratories, where she works with High Explosive 3D Printing.
