AAE Professor Wenbin Yu has received the ASC Award in Composites, from the American Society of Composites (ASC). Yu received the award in person at a ceremony during the 40th Annual ASC conference in Dayton, Ohio. Each winner is a "distinguished member of the composites community who has made a significant impact on the development of composite materials." 

Yu has earned many awards for his teaching and research throughout his career. He is an AIAA associate fellow, distinguished senior Fulbright scholar, and has been editor of many research publications. At Purdue, he holds the title of Milton Clauser Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

ASC is an all-volunteer organization of professionals in academia, industry and government agencies, dedicated to the advancement of the science and technology of composite materials and structures.
