Carolin Frueh and Kawai Kwok named AIAA Associate Fellows

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) has elected two Purdue University faculty members, Kawai Kwok and Carolin Frueh, to the 2025 class of Associate Fellows. This prestigious recognition is awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the fields of aeronautics or astronautics.

      Kawai Kwok, Associate Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

      Carolin Frueh, Associate Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

The AIAA Associate Fellow designation is reserved for professionals who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields, contributing valuable knowledge and innovation to the aerospace industry. Each year, a limited number of members are selected to join this elite group, based on their significant achievements and professional experience.

"They exemplify a dedication to excellence in advancing their specific technical disciplines. We are proud of their achievements. They are shaping the future of aerospace.”

The official induction ceremony will take place on January 8, 2025, at the AIAA SciTech Forum in Orlando, Florida, where honorees will be formally recognized for their accomplishments.
