Aman Chokshi received the Leonard E. Wood Co-Op Scholarship. Chokshi’s Co-Op is with ATA Engineering, where already he has completed two rotations. The first was January-May 2020 in San Diego and the second was served remotely, due to COVID-19, from August-December 2020. He’ll start the third Co-Op in May 2021 in Washington D.C.

“This scholarship allows me to focus on my education and pursue more opportunities that Purdue University offers,” Chokshi said. “For example, the undergraduate research opportunities that I am now better able to do helps me to further reach my goals of working in the reusable rocket industry.”

The Wood Scholarship was established in 2007 in memory of Leonard E. Wood, who received a Ph.D. from Purdue in 1956. After joining faculty as a professor in Civil Engineering, Wood became the School’s faculty coordinator for Purdue’s Cooperative Education Program 1989. Seeking to honor Wood’s dedication to the Co-Op program, his widow Margaret started the scholarship fund.
