AAE professors honored on 'Outstanding Teachers' list

Among the 120 faculty, lecturers and staff recognized by the College of Engineering, 13 were from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Twelve professors and a continuing lecturer in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics were among the College of Engineering’s “Outstanding Engineering Teachers” from Spring 2019.

Faculty, lecturers and other staff with teaching evaluation scores of 4.7 or higher in classes with enrollments of 10 and above and 50 percent or higher response rates on student evaluations were included in the list. The evaluations were from courses taught in Engineering in Spring 2019.

In all, 120 faculty, lecturers and other staff from the College of Engineering were recognized. 

William Crossley, J. William Uhrig and Anastasia Vournas Head of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was joined by AAE professors Sally Bane, Gregory Blaisdell, James Longuski, R. Byron Pipes, Jonathan Poggie, Timothee Pourpoint, Li Qiao, Carson Slabaugh, David Spencer, Tyler Tallman and Wenbin Yu and continuing lecturer Waterloo Tsutsui.

The College of Engineering publishes the list in Purdue’s student newspaper, The Exponent.
