An AAE undergraduate team was selected by NASA for the 2018 Micro-g NExT challenge to design and build an original spacewalk or exploration tool for testing in NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Lab.

The students are designing the BOILER System, a tool that can be used on the International Space Station (ISS) to repair leaks caused by micro-meteoroid impacts on ISS module walls.

The team will travel to the Johnson Space Center over the summer to test the tools in the Neutral Buoyancy Lab (NBL) with NASA employees and astronauts.

The AAE 418 Zero-gravity Flight Experiment class team is working under the supervision and guidance of Drs. Steven Collicott and David Wolf.
