Purdue AAE enjoyed a strong presence as aerospace experts came together to discuss exploration, security and commerce in space.

AAE Prof. Daniel Dumbacher led a group of students in October as they attended the 10th annual Wernher von Braun Memorial Symposium at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

This year’s event, with the theme of “Gateways in Space,” included panels with NASA program managers, NASA deputy associate administrators, associate administrators, the acting administrator, a past administrator and commercial executives.

Purdue AAE students who attended the event were Katherine Fowee, Emily Petersen and Arnau Pons, along with AAE research associate Cesare Guariniello.

“Our students were very engaged and received many compliments for their hard work at Purdue,” Guariniello says.
