AAE graduate students key part of space leaders discussion

Purdue AAE enjoyed a strong presence in Australia as students and young professionals came together to focus on the next generation of space leaders. AAE PhD student Arnau Pons served as the Congress Manager of the Space Generation Congress (SGC) 2017, a three-day event held in September in conjunction with the International Astronautical Congress (IAC).

AAE PhD student Arnau Pons served as the Congress Manager of the Space Generation Congress (SGC) 2017, a three-day event held in September in conjunction with the International Astronautical Congress (IAC). As Congress Manager, he led a team coordinating the organization and preparation for SGC 2017.

This event brings together international perspectives of a select group of 150 university students and young professionals from all over the world. An intellectual, lively Purdue AAE students attended the Space Generation Congressexchange occurs between the delegates and invited senior leadership on key space sector issues.

In addition to Pons, other Boilermakers who attended the event included current graduate students Orzuri Rique and McClain Goggin, and alumni Deepak Atyam, Andrea Colagrossi, Sirisha Bandla, Travis Langster and William H. Gerstenmaier.
