AAE grad student Diwakar Naragani awarded Best Poster Prize at Gordon Research Conference

Diwakar Naragani has been awarded the best poster prize at the Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on the Frontiers in Physical Metallurgy. The conference was held July 19-24, 2015 at the University of New England. One of the cornerstones of the GRC is fostering advancement within the younger generation of scientists and engineers, which culminates in the student poster presentations.

Diwakar Naragani has been awarded the best poster prize at the Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on the Frontiers in Physical Metallurgy. The conference was held July 19-24, 2015 at the University of New England. One of the cornerstones of the GRC is fostering advancement within the younger generation of scientists and engineers, which culminates in the student poster presentations. This year there were 3 awards announced from the 106 posters. Diwakar’s poster was entitled ‘Investigation of nonmetallic inclusion-driven failures’ with co-authors Drs. Michael D. Sangid, Paul A. Shade, Jay Schuren, Hemant Sharma, Jun-Sang Park, Peter Kenesei, Joel V. Bernier, and Todd J. Turner. The work represents a collaboration between researchers at Purdue University, the Air Force Research Lab, and the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Lab.
